The new celebratory issue of Kauniit Juhlat magazine was released the day before yesterday, September 22, 2026.
And there it is: VK Fine Jewellery on the entire back cover.
When I founded VonKajander Fine Jewellery in July, I couldn't have imagined that just over two months later, I would see the company name on the back cover of a national wedding and celebration magazine. Honestly, it feels like a pretty big deal. It was an honor to secure such a spot for my own publication.
VK Fine Jewellery was born out of my own way of searching for jewelry, rooted in a hobby of collecting. I go through a vast amount of options and choose only those pieces where the whole package hits the mark. Sometimes the choice is driven by the stone, other times by the design, the mark of craftsmanship, or that hard-to-explain, arresting quality that some pieces of jewelry just have.
The intention is not to offer everything to everyone. I want to find exceptional pieces and bring them to be discovered by their next owner.
A back cover that looks like VonKajander
For the back cover, I wanted something that looks and feels like VonKajander Fine Jewellery.
No image collage, long list, or promotional message, no generic bright jewelry photo, the kind you see a dime a dozen. I mulled over what kind of message I wanted to convey for a long time. In the end, rather than a message, I settled on conveying the look and feel of the brand. The ring is turned diagonally across the image from corner to corner, and the row of champagne diamonds in large scale is arresting. Logo and slogan, website address. That’s it.
I also debated for a long time about adding a QR code. It would have made moving to the online store easy, but at the same time, it would have broken something of the atmosphere of the ad. In the end, I decided to keep the whole thing as minimal as possible. The website address can be found discreetly in the corner, but otherwise, the image is allowed to speak for itself.
The result is dark, golden, and slightly dramatic. Just as I had hoped. There’s really nothing missing from this except for the ethereal ending of The Stranglers’ song "Golden Brown" playing in the background.
Beyond the ordinary
The world of the back cover continues in the online store with the VK Beyond Collection – an exceptional collection of diamond jewelry of at least three carats.
The pieces in the collection are not just larger than usual in terms of carat weight. Each one of them has been selected based on beauty, quality, and overall impression. Included are stunning solitaire rings, large diamonds, and true statement pieces – individual items beyond the ordinary.
You can find the new issue of Kauniit Juhlat magazine at Lehtipiste kiosks starting today, September 22, 2026. My own copy was found on the release day at the Kouvola Prisma – specifically, by my little sister.
