The VK Signature Collection was born from a desire to make custom-made jewellery more affordable. Through VonKajander Fine Jewellery, you can have a piece of jewellery made with details designed around your own wishes. It could be an engagement or wedding ring, a pendant, earrings, or a piece of jewellery simply for yourself.
Your vision, our shared plan
Designing a custom-made piece of jewellery begins with a conversation. What kind of jewellery do you like? Will the piece be for everyday wear or for special occasions? Do you have a particular gemstone, cut, or material in mind?
You can send inspiration pictures or tell us which details appeal to you. You don’t need to have a finished design or know the terminology of jewellery making. I will help you bring your ideas together into a cohesive vision and work with the manufacturer to determine how it can be made.
It is also best to discuss the budget right from the start. The size and characteristics of the stone, the materials, and the design of the piece will all affect the price. These choices can be balanced so that the final result feels right and stays within the agreed price range.
Beauty is also in the small details
The look of a ring is not determined by the size of the diamond alone. The width of the band, the height of the setting, and the shape of the claws holding the stone in place all affect the overall appearance. The rounding of the inner surface also determines how the ring feels on your hand.
The same applies to other pieces of jewellery: the position of a pendant, the length of a chain, or the proportions of earrings can make all the difference to whether the piece feels just right.
During the design process, comfort and structural functionality are considered alongside appearance. You don’t need to know how to ask about everything yourself.
From design to finished jewellery
Once your wishes and the initial design are clear, you will receive a quote and an estimated production time. Before production begins, the essential details of the piece will be confirmed, including the materials, dimensions, stones, and any engraving.
Depending on the piece, we can also create a CAD model, allowing you to review the shape and proportions in advance. At this stage, details can be further refined before the design is approved.
After production, you will receive photos or a video of the finished piece. The jewellery will first be delivered to VonKajander for inspection and then packaged for delivery to you. You can also arrange to collect it in Kouvola.
Any diamond reports and other documents included with the delivery will be agreed as part of the order, so you know in advance what you will receive with your jewellery.
Unique jewellery at an affordable price
A custom-made piece of jewellery does not have to be large or extravagant. It can be very understated: a beautiful stone, carefully chosen proportions, and one small detail that is meaningful to you.
The price is determined by the chosen design. That is why exploring different options is also part of the service. If a particular solution increases the price significantly, we can explore other ways to achieve the look you want.

The first rings in the VK Signature Collection were made based on our own wishes. Three different designs show how the setting and details affect the look of a ring.
